Award-winning media personality Claudia Naisabwa has joined Cape Media Limited TV station, TV47 and will collaborate with her experienced counterpart, Willis Raburu from tonight.

Speaking to Viral Tea, a source at the vibrant media house confirmed that Naisabwa and Raburu will both host the WabebeXP (experience) entertainment show starting this Friday, February 16 from 10 pm.

The source further indicated that Naisabwa is joining TV47 as the WabebeXP co-host permanently and the duo will also be joined by Franklin Mark Gogo, popularly known as MC Gogo, who has become a household name in Kenya's entertainment scene.

"She (Naisabwa) is joining permanently," the source confirmed to Viral Tea.

Naisabwa on her part took to Instagram to express her excitement at the move to her new home, something she termed as a milestone in her three-year-old media career.

"Time for an upgrade to your Friday entertainment with the best female TV host in Africa.

"Catch me on the biggest entertainment show WabebeXP every Friday from 10 pm to midnight. You don’t want to miss the best entertainer in action," she wrote.

Before her exit from Standard Group's KTN on Saturday, January 27, Naisabwa's infectious attitude and bubbly demeanour coupled with enviable energy saw her become one of the most sought-after influencers, at the age of just 21.

She loves dancing and it makes her happy. When she is not dancing, she is writing songs and singing and when she is not writing scripts, she is an actress on the set of a film project.

Naisabwa, who was the host of Str8Up on KTN Home, was poached from Eddie Butita-owned media house Stage Presence Media (SPM) Buzz to become the new Iwake host, replacing Jamal Gaddafi who moved to K24 TV.

She is also a commercial model, voice-over artist, MC (Master of Ceremony) and runs her YouTube channel.

Her decorated career saw her win several awards with her talent and skills on camera standing out. 2023 saw her crowned The Outstanding TV Personality at the Africa Women Awards.

Her talent was spotted after participating in a TikTok video. Her sister had convinced her to do the Naanzaje Diamond music video challenge.

“My sister Nareyo dragged me into it. I actually used to think joining TikTok video challenges was a waste of time. Frankly, to me, this was just another chance to enjoy myself. I never even thought of TikTok fame, in as much as I knew I was really a talented singer and dancer, which have been my passion since I was a child,” she was quoted by The Standard.

What was unique about her exit from the Standard Group Limited on January 27 is that it came on the same day she marked three years since joining the media industry, revealing how in 2021 she pitched for the role that was previously held by Chero.

The addition of Naisabwa serves as a testament to TV47's bold ambitions to rise to the very top of Kenya's TV industry through the raiding of star media performers from rival media houses to go head to head with mainstream media giants such as Citizen TV, NTV and KTN, among others.
