He Abducted Himself: DCI Expose Juja MP George Koimburi's Movements, Even Where He Slept
Amin detailed that investigations into Koimburi's alleged abduction were enough to give a vivid picture of what really happened to the point Koimburi was found dumped

Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) Amin Mohamed now claims that Juja Member of Parliament (MP) George Koimburi faked his own abduction.
Speaking to the press on Wednesday, May 28, flanked by Inspector General of Police Douglas Kanja and other senior police bosses, Amin detailed that investigations into Koimburi's alleged abduction were enough to give a vivid picture of what really happened to the point Koimburi was found dumped at a coffee farm in Kiambu County.
"It is quite, quite inconceivable for an honourable Member of Parliament to go to that extent of state management, his own abduction, creating a lot of tension and fear in the country. Fortunately, we were able to exploit the investigations and expose him to the public that the Member of Parliament was indeed not abducted," said Amin.
"We were able to account for all his movements from the time he attended the charge up to where he slept at night. We have even identified the hotel and the room number where he slept."

Amin, however, revealed that in order not to prejudice the investigations, "we may not be able to share that information at this point in time, but definitely we are going to share that information with him."
On his part, IG Kanja announced that three individuals have been arrested in connection with the incident, including the Juja Constituency Development Fund (CDF) chairperson, who is believed to have played a key role in orchestrating the kidnapping.
Following the arrests, statements from the suspects have led investigators to believe that the Juja MP may have staged his abduction. One of the suspects, the CDF chair, told police that he attended a church service with the MP on May 25, after which the lawmaker was allegedly kidnapped by two men in a silver Subaru Forester.
However, another suspect, identified as a close associate of the MP, claimed the CDF chair had earlier requested the use of his Subaru, allegedly to transport extra security for the church event. Later that day, the associate was instructed to go to the CDF chair’s home, where he met a third suspect and three others.
They used the chair’s Honda CR-V to scout the route to the church before returning, at which point the associate drove his vehicle with the two men who ultimately forced the MP into the car at the church.
After the staged abduction, they drove to Jacaranda Coffee Research along Kabogo Road, where the MP reportedly told them to stop near a waiting Honda CR-V. The associate said that after the MP exited the vehicle, the two men warned him to stay silent.
The third suspect admitted to transporting the MP to a hotel, where he had refreshments and spent the night with the same two men on May 25.
"He admitted that on May 26, while using the CDF chair's vehicle, the Honda CR-V, he picked up the MP from the hotel and took him to the scene where he claimed he had been dumped. Before the MP exited the vehicle, he helped him tear his clothes to fake evidence of torture by the alleged abductors," Kanja continued.
