Julia Majale Promoted In TUKO.co.ke Leadership Changes

Julia Majale was on Thursday, April 27 promoted to TUKO.co.ke's Managing Director (MD) from the Managing Editor position in changes affecting the digital media house's top leadership.

Majale takes over from digital strategist, Gibendi Ramenya, with the seasoned executive bringing a proven track record of driving growth and leading successful digital media businesses, to the new capacity.

Taking over her role as Managing Editor will be Jacob Otieno Onyango who brings with him a wealth of experience in digital journalism spanning over a decade.

"Prior to his appointment as Managing Editor, Jacob served as the Head of Business Desk at TUKO.co.ke where he oversaw the coverage of all business-related news and events in Kenya and the region.

"During his tenure, he led the team in breaking major stories and providing insightful analysis of the latest trends in the business world," TUKO.co.ke stated in a press release sent exclusively to Viral Tea.

Otieno holds a Bachelor's degree in Communication and Media Technology from Maseno University. He has a keen understanding of the evolving landscape of digital media and is constantly exploring innovative ways to deliver news and information to TUKO.co.ke's readers in a fast-paced, digital-first environment.

As the new Managing Editor at TUKO.co.ke, Otieno is committed to driving the growth and success of the platform by providing high-quality and engaging content to its readers.

Majale is a graduate of the prestigious School of Journalism at Daystar University and has an Executive Masters in Leadership and Innovation from Aga Khan University.

She has received numerous accolades for her outstanding contributions to the field of journalism, including a listing as top 25 most influential women in digital 2021.

As the Managing Director, Majale will play a crucial role in ensuring the success and growth of TUKO.co.ke by providing strategic leadership, managing operations, and building strong relationships with key stakeholders.
