KeNHA Warns Motorists On Flooding Along Isiolo-Moyale Road
KeNHA noted that part of the major road had flooded in the Logo Logo area amidst heavy rainfall experienced across the country.

The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) has advised motorists using the Isiolo-Moyale Road to approach it with caution following flooding that occurred along a section of the road.
In a notice on Wednesday, October 25, KeNHA noted that part of the major road had flooded in the Logo Logo area amidst heavy rainfall experienced across the country.
Photos seen by Viral Tea and shared by the authority showed floods submerging sections surrounding the road, making the road impassable to motorists.
"The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) wishes to notify and caution motorists plying Isiolo-Marsabit Moyale Road of a flooding incident at Logo Logo area towards Marsabit where sections of the Road have been overtopped by water.

"The affected area is 68km from Merille River and is due to the heavy downpour experienced earlier this morning at Karare and Korr areas along the Road," explained KeNHA.
The road authority advised members of the public to exercise caution while driving along the road both during the day and at night.
"Motorists are encouraged to allow water to subside before crossing the affected area. KeNHA, led by the Corridor C team, is on-site to ensure the safety of the motorists," added KeNHA.
Local reports indicate that two people, a 70-year-old man and a six-year-old child, have since been swept away by the raging floods.
The notice comes a day after the Kenya Meteorological Department maintained that the country will experience high levels of rainfall this week, in line with President William Ruto who predicted the same last week.
In an update released on Monday, October 24, the weatherman revealed that rainfall is expected to continue in various parts of the country, with isolated storms likely in the Central Highlands and North-eastern Kenya.
"High average daytime (maximum) temperatures of more than 30 degrees Celsius are expected over several parts of the country including the Coast, North-eastern and North-western Kenya," read the statement in part.
"A few areas in the Highlands East and West of the Rift Valley, the South-eastern lowlands and the Rift Valley will experience low average night-time (minimum) temperatures of less than 10 degrees Celsius."
President Ruto had previously noted that the country would not experience the severe effects of the El Nino rains, stating that meteorologists had reversed their previous projections of El Nino rains expected to hit the country.
During the rainy season, Kenyan motorists were advised to drive carefully and avoid using bridges, as pedestrians were warned against walking in moving water.
Both scenarios have the potential of cars and pedestrians being swept away by rushing water and have devastating consequences, including road accidents with the risk of fatalities.
