Socialite and beauty entrepreneur Faith Makau, alias Amber Ray was on Thursday, November 4 treated to a wonderful birthday dinner by her lover, businessman and golfer Kennedy Rapudo.

She shared snippets of how the event went down on her Instagram stories, expressing how speechless she was on the level of treatment she was accorded to.

For her birthday gift, she received an iPhone 14 Pro Max, the latest in Apple's famed series of iPhones launched in September.

The treat was accompanied by a special message from Rapudo which read:

"My darling, I never felt happiness until you came into my life. You mean the world to me. On this special day of yours, I pray for sunshine, love, joy, peace, and happiness in your life.

"May God envelop you in His special love and shower you with His abundant blessings. Happy birthday, baby love," he stated.

The iPhone 14 Pro Max is more powerful than its iPhone 14 Pro version and weighs heavier at 240 grams compared to the Pro's 206 grams.

It has a 6.7-inch display with rounded corners that follow a beautiful curved design, and these corners are within a standard rectangle. When measured as a standard rectangular shape, the screen is 6.69 inches diagonally (the actual viewable area is less).

The display is a Super Retina XDR OLED that refreshes at 120 Hz and has a resolution of 1284 x 2778 pixels. It comes with Dynamic Island, a new software system on iPhones featuring a design that blends the line between hardware and software, adapting in real-time to show important alerts, notifications, and activities.

With the introduction of Dynamic Island, the TrueDepth camera has been redesigned to take up less of the display area. Without impeding content on the screen, Dynamic Island maintains an active state to allow users easier access to controls with a simple tap-and-hold.

Ongoing background activities like Maps, Music, or a timer remain visible and interactive, and third-party apps in iOS 16 that provide information like sports scores and ride-sharing with Live Activities can take advantage of Dynamic Island.

The phone has a triple-camera setup that consists of 64 MP + 12 MP+ 12 MP and a 12 MP + SL 3D camera for selfies and Face ID.

The Pro Max runs on the Apple A16 Bionic (5 nm) chipset with Apple GPU (5-core graphics), 6GB of RAM, up to 1TB storage, and on iOS 16. It is available in Space Black, Silver, Gold, and Deep Purple colours, and is powered by a 4323 mAh battery, which is non-removable.

Depending on the storage, the Pro Max ranges from approximately Ksh185,000 to as high as Ksh295,000.

Amber Ray previously dismissed engagement rumours that went rife online after Rapudo paid a visit to her family to let them know that they were actively dating.
