Mark Masai is a popular Kenyan journalist, media personality and news anchor, known for his fluency in the British language and good appearance. This is because he spent a big part of his life when he was young in the United Kingdom (UK).

He began his internship at Hope FM and later moved to Classic FM where he did some commercials. Later, his prowess in media landed him a new job at Nation Media Group's (NMG) NTV in 2008 at the age of 22.

At NTV, he covered issues on human rights and the environment but quit the station to work for CCTV (now CGTN) Africa and returned to NTV where he has been working until he was fired from the station in December 2022.

"Am speechless and yet to recognize other journalists like you but my prayer is to see you land in green pastures," Evans Rotich commented.

Masai later told his fans that he would start an online show, a thing that was embraced by his fans and friends at large.

Alongside former NTV anchor, Dennis Okari, they launched The Social Newsroom, a podcast that covers various stories told by the people of Kenya in a different way, though with Okari, he continued his niche of news but focus more on the untold stories. Since then, they have hosted the likes of Carol Radull, Nelly Cheboi, Terryanne Chebet, and Boniface Mwangi among others.

Masai would later reveal that he landed a lucrative role barely a month after he was fired from the TV station, though he did not disclose the name of the Public Relations (PR) firm nor did he reveal his new role.

“I have gotten a good role with a good firm in PR and communications,” he announced, as Chebet, Okari and his peers congratulated him.

“On February 20, 2020, I wrote that by the end of three years, I would have started the process of transitioning to a high-level career which will be entirely different from media altogether. I wrote it into existence. Be careful what you write and pray for as it will come. Be ready for it.”

Masai however assured that he would still host the popular podcast alongside Okari and take part in his other jobs, including gigs as a Master of Ceremony (MC).

Viral Tea established that the firm he was hired into is PR and Marketing agency Professional Marketing Services (PMS) Group, an award-winning marketing and communication agency with over 25 years in business operation helping local, regional and international organizations and brands navigate and thrive in the fast-changing market environment. Masai was appointed as its Director of Public Relations and Communications and will Head the PR and Corporate Communication Team anchoring PMS Group's pole position in the market, according to a statement previously reported by Viral Tea.
