Followers of African popstar, Nadia Mukami, now believe that her breakup with Arrow Bwoy, real name Ali Yusuf, was ill-timed and rushed.

Radio Maisha presenter Billy Miya became the latest to react to the split of the celebrity couple, whom he termed in a statement on Friday, December 9, as his favourite.

He revealed that relationships have their ups and downs and none of it is perfect, giving an example of how former US President Barack Obama's wife, Michelle Obama, felt that she was doing the majority of the work in their relationship.

"I'm heartbroken, I'm devastated. Nadia and Arrow Boy were and are still my favourite couple. I want to believe it’s not true.

"Marriage is not an easy walk in the park, Mitchel Obama once said there was a time she felt like she was giving 76 per cent of the relationship while Obama was giving 24 per cent," he wrote.

He added that modern-day parents need to develop humility and perseverance amongst themselves due to difficult times, mostly economical as it arguably keeps many relationships afloat.

Miya expressed worry regarding their son, Haseeb Kai, growing up to listen to some of the sad songs Nadia is predicted to release regarding the breakup.

He urged Nadia and Arrow Bwoy to reconsider their decision to part ways, even offering himself to be a mediator in their relationship.

"Pole sana (I'm sorry) to Nadia and Arrow Bwoy, I'm just imagining Kai coming of age and listening to the song Kai Wangu. I offer myself to be a mediator coz I have over eight years of experience in marriage.

"Nadia na Arrowboy please get back together. You look lovely as a couple. Let's all teach ourselves to persevere if it’s not costing you your life," he added.

The Kai Wangu hitmaker caught many Kenyans by surprise with her announcement, though revealing that they called it quits a while back. Their efforts to keep it quiet were ruined by numerous calls from organisations that have been trying to book them for music shows.

"Just to clarify to the guys trying to book Arrow Bwoy and me, we have not been together for a while."

"I have run out of lies we have not been together for a while, we broke up. Kindly contact individual management for bookings," she wrote, not explaining the cause of the breakup.

Many had believed that Nadia was clout chasing with the split, but she later made it crystal clear that she did not need clout to release a song as she was already an established artist at the age of 26. She did however announce that she was launching her new business in the coming week.

Nadia and Arrow Bwoy's love life could be traced as far back as July 2020 when she denied being involved with him romantically after rumours started to go around that the two were seeing each other.

In February 2019, the 26-year-old singer released the track Radio Love featuring Arrow Bwoy. This was the start of their working relationship as Arrow would later disclose that it was Nadia who reached out to him regarding the music project.
