NTV Editor In Hospital, Asks Kenyans For Help

Nation Media Group (NMG) on Thursday, December 22 sent an urgent appeal to Kenyans of goodwill to donate blood to help one of its employees.

Janet Chapia, a news editor working at NMG's TV station, NTV, has been admitted to Meridian Equator Hospital in Nairobi West.

The media house welcomed Kenyans to donate blood from 9 am on Friday, December 23 with Chapia's condition yet to be revealed by the media house.

“Please let's come through for my friend and colleague Janet Chapia, an Editor at NTV. She is at the Meridian Equator hospital, Nairobi West hospital.

"All are welcome to donate blood from 9 AM in the morning. Any blood group will do, journalists, please let's do this,” NMG wrote on Twitter. 

The media house further noted that "any blood group will suffice."

Viral Tea learnt of reports regarding the appeal after a poster by the station on the same was circulated all over social media platforms.

Chapia joined the Kimathi Street-based station from KTN. She works as an editor of English at NTV.
