TV47 Director for Digital Services and Innovations Willis Raburu has left the Cape Media Limited-owned TV station.

A highly placed source at the media house confirmed to Viral Tea of Raburu's departure, close to eight months after joining the vibrant company.

"As I bid farewell to the TV47 family, I am filled with a sense of pride and gratitude for the remarkable growth we’ve achieved together over the past few months," part of his farewell message reads as quoted by a local blog.

On April 6, Raburu announced a break for the Wabebe Experience show, revealing in a statement that the show was going on a season break, thanking fans and followers for their support for the show airing every Friday from 10 pm.

"We would like to announce that Wabebe Experience will be taking a season break. We sincerely thank our viewers for their continued support and enthusiasm," he stated on X.

However, the renowned journalist and media personality assured fans that there was nothing to worry about as the break was necessary for the team behind the show to restrategize.

The announcement was made hours before the show's scheduled start on Friday. Nonetheless, he thanked Kenyans for always supporting him and his team of hosts who include Franklin Mark Gogo alias MC Gogo and Claudia Naisabwa.

"Rest assured, we are working diligently behind the scenes to come back bigger and better than ever!

"Stay tuned for updates on our return! We love you and appreciate you so much," said Raburu.

Raburu had been fully concentrating on his TV47 job where he had hosted Wabebe XP, a music magazine show he has presented since joining the station in August 2023.

He quit Citizen TV of Royal Media Services (RMS) in June 2023. He used to host the 10 over 10 show at the Kilimani-based media house station before his switch to TV47. Raburu served at RMS for slightly over 13 years.

Naisabwa joined TV47 from Standard Group Limited's KTN and joined Raburu as well as MC Gogo for the show. Should the show be revived, the duo could be the only personalities to serve as its presenters.

At TV47, Raburu also managed the digital services and innovations department for the station that also runs Radio 47.
