Following an intelligence led operation, a team of officers based at Central Police Station in Mombasa has arrested five individuals suspected to be members of an organized criminal group that has been operating within Sargoi area and it's neighborhoods.

"The five suspects had earlier been captured in a video recording while displaying items that they had stolen from their victims.

"Upon search, a navy blue jacket that had been captured in the video recording, three iphones, a samsung phone, a memojo phone, a bluetooth headphone among other items were recovered from them," stated the DCI in part.

The five have been processed pending arraignment in a court of law.

The clip which went viral both on TikTok and Twitter, showed them bragging about the items they stole, including a stylish coat and a set of car keys.

The suspects dared Kenyans to show up with more expensive phones at the upcoming Christina Shusho concert slated for December 31, 2023, under the guise that they were preparing to steal more goods.

Meanwhile, comedy guru Daniel Ndambuki popularly known as Churchill could be reconsidering his lineup for Shusho's upcoming event after criticism emerged over plans to hold Shusho's music performance jointly with his comedy show.

Through his Instagram account, Churchill engaged netizens asking them to give suggestions for their ideal NYE gig this year and most are pushing for a full-blown gospel concert headlined by the Tanzanian songstress.

Besides Shusho, fans are also suggesting Kenyan artistes to perform including Eunice Njeri, Evelyne Wanjiru and Mercy Masika among others.

Shusho is known for songs such as Shusha Nyavu, Unikumbuke, Wa Kuabudiwa, Bwana Umenichunguza among others.
