"Thanks, everyone for your concerns over the accident. While it was grisly, I'm happy to report that I and my crew left the scene unhurt and we thank God almighty.

"We are comforted by the prayers of the psalmist that, 'Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me," he wrote.

According to photos shared by Viral Tea, the car's front left chassis was badly damaged in the crash and the dents extended to the co-driver's door and the left-hand door of the passenger seat.

The car's front-left tyre was deflated and the side mirror missing. Mbadi did not disclose what led to the accident.

"God is great and this is a testimony of His presence with you. We still need you especially as we look forward to Baba's leadership," wrote Everlyne Koech, who was one of Mbadi's followers who took to social media to express their concern.

The accident involved a head-on collision between a matatu and a car at the Kwa Majini bridge in Yatta, Machakos County.
