"Good morning my loves! Shaffie Weru, Pierra Makena; do you think they are ready for this one?" she posed.

Makena also shared the news through the same poster on her Instagram account. The show will be broadcast live on the station through its airwaves and streaming services through a link fans can use to stream it from anywhere in the country with an internet connection.

Shaffie and Kamene will succeed Mwalimu Rachel, who hosted the show solo alongside DJ Xclusive. This will also be their first reunion since working together at Radio Africa Group (RAG).

The former has been away from radio for two years while the latter has been off the airwaves for three months since leaving Kiss FM.

The radio king was terminated from the Radio Africa Group radio station alongside Neville Musya, now attached to Trace Radio, and popular Disc-jockey Joseph Munoru alias DJ Joe Mfalme in March 2021 after their remarks triggered a nationwide uproar.

He disclosed on November 24, 2022, that the comments which involved a Nairobi man who pushed a woman off the 12th floor of a building during a date and was found guilty, were not the basis of his ouster as something deeper and more complicated took centre stage.

Shaffie returned to branding and event management and worked for Nairobi Governor, Johnson Sakaja in December 2022 to plan the Nairobi Festival which was held from December 12 to December 17 as well as his inauguration ceremony back in August 2022.

The 'rave-rend' on April 4, 2023, was appointed by the governor as the head of events and branding at the Nairobi County Government.

Shaffie also runs a show dubbed Shafted which covers major interviews with public figures who ‘shafted’ themselves through their actions, controversial behaviour, or scandals that led to their downfall.

Kamene also focused on her brand and managing her sponsorship deals and went ahead to wed David Pyper alias DJ Bonez at an exclusive wedding ceremony held in Nairobi on Thursday, April 20.

She has become a household name in Kenya due to her sharp wit, humour, and candid approach to discussing various topics on her show. She is known for her fearless attitude toward tackling sensitive and controversial issues, which has earned her a large following among Kenyan youth.
