KeNHA To Close Section Of Lang'ata Road For 12 Hours
KeNHA further advised motorists to work with police and traffic marshals on site and follow the guidelines it issued in its advisory.

The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) will once again close a section of Lang'ata Road.
Motorists plying the busy road between the U-turn to Lang'ata Hospital and Langata Barracks Roundabout have been asked to use alternative routes on Sunday, October 9 owing to the scheduled road operations.
On Tuesday, September 4, the authority stated that the closure will allow for a footbridge at Lang'ata Barracks to be erected.

The footbridge will help enhance the safety of pedestrians as they cross the busy road.
"The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) wishes to notify the public that a section of Langata Road, between the U-turn to Langata Hospital and Langata Barracks Roundabout will be closed on Sunday, October 9, 2022, from 5.00 am to 5.00 pm (12 hours)," read part of the statement.
KeNHA further advised motorists to work with police and traffic marshals on site and follow the guidelines it issued in its advisory.
"The installation of the footbridge is to enhance pedestrians' safety on the busy road. KeNHA advises motorists to follow the proposed traffic management plan and cooperate with the police and traffic marshals on site," added the statement.
In the alternative routes described, motorists heading towards Bomas and Karen are advised to take the U-turn towards Langata Hospital through Kitengela Road then to Kungu Karumba Road and back to Langata Road at Barracks Roundabout.
Motorists heading towards City Centre are advised to take Kungu Karumba Road then take Kitengela Road towards Lang'ata Hospital and back to Lang'ata Road.
It is the second weekend in a row that the busy road is being affected with temporary closures after one affected the road near Carnivore Grounds and Uhuru Gardens for two days.
KeNHA had commissioned the T-Mall footbridge on August 5 as part of the government's plan to improve transport across Kenya.
