Businessman and golfer Kennedy Rapudo has broken his silence after socialite Faith Makau alias Amber Ray confirmed that the two are no longer dating.

Amber revealed on Wednesday, August 24 during a Q&A session on her Instagram stories that she was no longer dating Rapudo, the fourth man she has dated this year.

Rather than issue a comprehensive statement, Rapudo decided to take a cheeky approach, using the 'Sina Maoni' meme that went viral on the day of the August 9, 2022, general elections.

"Sometimes it's good to be honest. No opinion," he commented.

The meme he used originated from Uasin Gishu county whereby a man's live interview with Citizen TV's reporter Chemutai Goin would ignite a flurry of bizarre and viral moments that made part of the election day, especially after the man appeared to freeze like a deer in headlights when Goin posed to him any concerns on the electoral process.

"Can you kindly tell us your concerns over the election given that there were requests to postpone the polls over cases of insecurity? As a voter who is already in the queue to cast your vote, what is your opinion?" Goin posed.

"Kulingana na mimi sina maoni. Sina maoni kabisa (I do not have any response worth offering. I really do not have anything to say)," he responded, sending the journalist and the crowd into laughter.

A fan had asked Amber if the couple were still together, to which the socialite denied, adding that she was tired of pretending to be in a relationship she was not comfortable with.

“I know where it has reached, I might look like a joker but I don’t know how to pretend. If it is not working, it’s not working so love me the way I am,” she responded.

It was only just last month that Amber gushed over Kennedy saying she was enjoying being loved and has not been afraid to show it in public on several occasions.

Though the duo have been public with their relationship, Rapudo explained that he preferred a low-key lifestyle, preferring to confuse idlers who insinuate their own matters.

This is one of Amber Ray's failed relationships with high-profile celebrity men, both in Kenya and in other countries. She previously dated Sierra Leonean basketballer IK Kabba, who claimed after their breakup that he met Rapudo as Amber's friend.

He would later disclose that he felt cheated about his perception of her, in an explosive statement.

"A girlfriend that is not proud about herself and everything in her body is fake. I don’t think that woman was the right one to stay with. God help us this is crazy she belonged to the street trust me.

"It’s so funny because after introducing a man to me that this man is my friend all of a sudden he is your boyfriend it means you guys were effing when we were still dating, it’s crazy, fear women," Kabba said at the time.

Many argued that Amber Ray's breakup with Rapudo is a timely one given that another one of her exes, President-elect William Ruto's ally Zaheer Jhanda, was elected the Member of Parliament for Nyaribari Chache Constituency in Kisii County in the August 9 general elections.

Amber had once dated Jhanda, but parted ways with him in 2018 when he was a businessman at the time. She also denounced her Muslim faith following the divorce.
