Celebrity couple Size 8 and her husband DJ Mo have addressed rumours of their separation, which were rife over the past weekend.

Media reports had revealed that the couple parted ways, with the Mateke hitmaker alleged to have moved out of their matrimonial home with her children. They had friction with each other which was revealed to have lasted a while.

Moreover, the couple kept their appearances on the social media content calendar which included sponsored content by corporates but had not followed each other.

The couple however revealed that their marriage was just like any other marriage, which experienced highs and lows over the period but were generally okay and had not separated.

DJ Mo was specific to reveal that they only post to show what the public wanted as most of their affairs were only private.

“We post occasionally to show we have highs and lows but we also put what we want people to know and not like many say that we share our entire lives on social media,” DJ Mo said in an interview with Plug TV.

Weighing in on his sentiments, Size 8 noted that they have periods where they don't engage with each other but fix their matters eventually and move on, a sign of maturity in their marriage.

She added that Jubilee Christian Center (JCC)’s Reverend Kathy Kiuna sometimes had to intervene to keep the two in check in their marriage.

“We are a normal couple there’s a time we even don’t talk to each other, our egos sometimes take control of us but we get back together and push on, the most important thing is to learn and avoid making comparisons with other couples on social media,” she said.

The couple who in 2020 shared on YouTube some of their marital issues via their 20-minute segment ‘Dine with the Murayas,’ were joined by another couple to discuss matters of sex while in the institution of marriage.

In the discussion, Size 8 noted that she was not getting enough sex from her husband; pointing out that her husband was too busy to meet her needs.

She said, “Babe ninasema, hauwezi unafanya job mpaka haunifanyii job (Babe I'm telling you, you can't say you're too busy at work to have sex with me)."

Accompanied by Pastor Chris Chege and his wife, the twosome sought to resolve their issues and re-ignite their flame.

The pastor noted that although the couple had gone through various transitions including having children, and conflicting schedules it was critical to the marriage to keep the marriage young and interesting.

After DJ Mo noted that he found it difficult to be attracted to Size 8 in her uninviting sleepwear, Pastor Chege counselled the couple to work towards creating a new approach to sex in their marriage.
