Former Churchill show comedian, Owago Nyiro has opened up on how he survived a life-threatening moment after he was hospitalised at Medical City Mckinney in the United States (US).

In a series of photos on Instagram, Onyiro recalled that he passed out for nearly four hours due to a respiratory condition he developed after travelling to the country.

“It has been hectic for me the past 4 days. Fainted and passed out for almost 4 hours. Saw real death and came back.

"Trust me I am not dying anytime soon again in Jesus' name. Thank you, Lord, for making me live again," he wrote.

He captioned another photo with “Here I was gone forever. Didn’t know anything for 4 hours. I cheated death on this fateful day. Thank you, Lord, once again for saving my life," while the doctors tried to resuscitate him.

Another photo showed him hooked to a number of medical wires as he was grateful for surviving what he termed as a 'near death experience'.

The comedian, who noted that he can cook, however, did not reveal more details of his ailment.

Onyiro was brought up careerwise by Daniel Ndambuki, famously known as Churchill. He was previously a lecturer at a private university in the country where he featured in Bachelor of Arts classes.

He also worked at Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC)'s Radio Taifa, but he left his job because some of his colleagues did not like the idea that he was there.

Onyiro noted that the colleagues who worked at the station for many years were jealous of his youth and was earning more than them.
