It is worth it to note that Russia has been at war with Ukraine

"The Embassy of Russia is looking forward to continuing and further developing comprehensive and mutually beneficial cooperation with Kenya. It is worth it to note that Russia has been at war with Ukraine after the country, under President Vladimir Putin, invaded the latter on February 24, 2022. This was a major escalation of the Russo-Ukrainian War that began in 2014.
It caused Europe's largest refugee crisis since World War II, with more than 9.1 million Ukrainians fleeing the country and a third of the population getting displaced.
Kenya, led by Ambassador Martin Kimani, Kenya's Permanent Representative to the United Nations (UN), has been leading in fielding criticisms against Russia's actions to invade Ukraine, which won the support of Ukrainian Ambassador to Kenya, Andriy Pravednyk.
"I would like to express our gratitude to Kenya for being so supportive within the realm of international organisations.
"Most of your heard the statement delivered by Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Kimani, which showed Kenya's support for Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity," Pravednyk stated on Tuesday, July 19.
The United States (US) embassy congratulated the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) for the manner in which the August 9, 2022, general elections were held.
They also commended the active participation of Kenya's political parties, civil society and citizens in shaping robust discussions throughout the campaign period.
They termed the election of William Ruto as president as an important milestone in the electoral process.
