Ruto's Motorcade May Have Run Over British Man Multiple Times: Autopsy
The incident occurred near Adams Arcade on Ngong Road while President Ruto's convoy was traveling to a public event in Kibra.

An autopsy on the body of a British philanthropist who was knocked down and killed by President William Ruto’s motorcade on Thursday suggests he may have been run over multiple times.
The examination revealed that the victim, identified as 79-year-old British national Edgar Charles Frederick, succumbed to multiple injuries and fractures.
“He suffered multiple traumas. He had severe injuries to the chest and head,” said Daniel Zuriel, a pathologist.
Zuriel also disclosed that Edgar’s head and chest were completely crushed, with most of the injuries concentrated on his left side, as noted by the pathologist.

The pathologist further suggested that Edgar may have been run over multiple times, sustaining severe injuries that proved fatal. Their findings indicate that he was struck and then run over by vehicles following behind.
“Particular injuries you are showing that his ribs on the left are crushed, the hip and the head. It is possible he was run over on the left side completely,” the pathologist added.
This comes as details emerged on Friday, March 14, that Edgar was a regular visitor to Kenya and had come to see his sister and nephew, who are residents of the country.
The incident occurred near Adams Arcade on Ngong Road while President Ruto's convoy was traveling to a public event in Kibra.
According to witnesses, Edgar was crossing the road, possibly on his way to a nearby mosque for prayers, when he was hit by a vehicle from the motorcade.
Some reports indicate that he may have had a hearing impairment, which could have played a role in the accident, as it was said that he had a hearing problem and may not have heard the sirens or hooting from vehicles in the presidential convoy.
Eyewitnesses also revealed that the man was well known in the area and had supported many people financially. "He helped us several times. He really liked my daughter and even paid my rent of Sh2,000 recently," a witness was quoted as saying by The Standard.
Witnesses stated that he regularly used the road, frequently visiting shops and a supermarket at Adams Arcade on Ngong Road. They believe he was on his way to Greenhouse Mall when the accident occurred.
One witness mentioned that the first vehicle in the convoy passed him and issued a warning signal, but he may not have recognized the danger.
"I was excited watching the fleet of vehicles pass at their usual speed. The first one warned him, but it seems he didn't take caution as the road was clear, and the vehicles in the President's convoy were appearing at intervals," the witness said. A second vehicle hit him moments later while moving toward the outer lane, much to the horror of the witnesses.
After the incident, the driver of the government vehicle involved, who is attached to the Nairobi Regional Coordinator's office, was arrested but later released on cash bail as investigations continue.
Police Spokesperson Michael Muchiri confirmed that the deceased’s family had been notified of his passing. The British High Commission in Nairobi has also been informed and is coordinating with local authorities regarding the matter.
Edgar’s body is expected to be repatriated to the United Kingdom for burial.
