Suzanne Silantoi, a member of the County Executive Committee (CEC), was on Thursday, July 13 moved to a new docket, among 10 reshuffles effected by Nairobi Governor, Johnson Sakaja.

In a statement from the Office of the Governor, Sakaja revealed that the changes would take effect immediately, coming just seven months into office.

Sakaja in the statement noted that he was doing the reshuffling in accordance with Article 31 (ba) (d) of the County Government Act 2012.

Silantoi, who was the youngest Nairobi senatorial candidate in 2017 at the age of 23 and was contesting against Sakaja in the hotly contested race and current Senator, Edwin Sifuna, was moved to the Health, Wellness and Nutrition docket having previously worked at Inclusivity, Public Participation and Customer Service.

In other changes, Maureen Njeri who was the CEC for Green Nairobi was moved to Business and Hustler Opportunities.

Patrick Mbogo who was the CEC for Mobility and Works was moved to the Boroughs Administration and Personnel.

Mbogo on his part replaced Ibrahim Auma Nyangoya who took Maureen Njeri’s position.

Rosemary Kariuki who was CEC in charge of the Business and Hustler Opportunities will now head the Talent, Skills and Care docket.

Dr Anastasia Nyalita was moved from the Health docket to Inclusivity, Public Participation and Customer Service.

Brian Mulama was moved from the Talent, Skills and Care docket to the Mobility Works docket.

Those who however retained their positions include Stephen Mwangi (Built Environment and Urban Planning), Michael Gumo (Innovation and Digital Economy and  Charles Kerich (Finance and Economic Affairs).

Sakaja's cabinet was sworn in on December 8, 2022, after being approved by the county assembly.
