Sultry Kenyan media personality Tracy Wanjiru is set to make a comeback to Nation Media Group (NMG) TV station, NTV, two years after announcing her exit.

This has been confirmed by sources with knowledge of matters regarding the Kimathi Street-based regional media house who spoke to Viral Tea.

Additionally, a teaser video first shared by NTV on Monday, October 30 and reshared on Friday, November 3 revealed that Wanjiru is set to host a lifestyle show bearing the hashtag #TheGlam.

According to the teaser, the show will cover various lifestyle aspects including beauty, fitness, skincare, fashion, and nutrition among others.

Here is the video:

Details of the show including its launch date are, however, yet to be revealed.

Still, this marks Wanjiru's comeback to national TV screens after leaving the TV station during a live recording of her final Teen Republik show on June 26, 2021, a show she hosted alongside Martin Kimathi for five years.

“So, today is my last day here with the team on Teen Republik. It has been a great five years on the show but today marks the end of a beautiful journey with such a great team," she stated at the time.

“It is quite unfortunate but moving to new things."

Kimathi, on his part, noted that for five years, the two formed a strong friendship chemistry both on the show as well as off.

“It has been so long since I met Tracy and she has literally been one of my best friends. We have grown tremendously. We started this show as kids and now we have grown.

“All the best to your new season Tracy because from here on, I believe the experience you have gained is elevation. You are only going to get better,” Kimathi noted.

The sultry presenter has had a long-running career in media and entertainment and currently hosts a breakfast show every Saturday on Capital FM. She was among a team of four that hosted the legendary Hits Not Homework show.

She attended Loreto Limuru High School before moving on to the University of Nairobi where for one year she studied law before dropping out to pursue her career in media.

She also doubles up as an MC for events and has never disappointed when it comes to fashion.

Wanjiru has been celebrating major milestones albeit away from the spotlight. In August 2023, she made public news that she became the mother of a two-year-old, two years after she gave birth.

On Saturday, October 14, she graduated from United States International University-Africa (USIU) with a Bachelor's Degree in International Relations (IR).
