Why Kwambox Changed Tune On Quitting Kiss FM- Insider
Kwamboka was anticipated to walk away from the popular urban radio station where she hosted a breakfast show.

It has now emerged that radio presenter Sheila Kwamboka aka Kwambox reconsidered resigning from Radio Africa Group (RAG) station Kiss 100 FM after one year, despite having served notice before her departure.
On February 6, 2023, she officially began her stint, taking over from Kamene Goro who left Radio Africa on January 27, 2023 and has been hosting the station's The Morning Kiss show alongside Chito Ndhlovu.
Viral Tea had reported in April that Kwamboka was anticipated to walk away from the popular urban radio station where she hosted a breakfast show.
However, sources privy to happenings at the Lion Place-based media house revealed to this writer that Kwambox was meant to resign, and a new presenter was set to take over alongside Chito, only for a last-minute meeting that occurred between her and the RAG executive.

It was there that she had a conversation with members of the executive before 'retracting' her resignation, thus retaining her slot on the Kiss FM 'The Morning Kiss' breakfast show.
Kwambox was this week joined by celebrated media personality Kerry Martin as a co-host for the breakfast show running from 6 am to 10 am every weekday. Martin joined from Homeboyz Radio where he had worked for the last nine years.
"It's been nine years on Homeboyz Radio. Today is a special day for me because it's my last day in the boys' club, and it's my last day on Homeboyz Radio. I will miss you guys so much, but don't worry; you'll still see me around,” Kerry Martin said while announcing his exit last week.
The two notably reunited on radio four years after hosting a show together on Homeboyz Radio, going back to the days before the radio station's acquisition by Radio Africa.
Martin replaced Chito, whose fate is yet to be established. A source told Viral Tea that though it remains to be seen if he left Kiss FM or was laid off, it is rumoured that he could return to a station that is being opened soon.
He does however host a podcast dubbed 'Manspeqtive Africa' which is also aired on KTN Home and covers various topics and issues from a man's perspective.
Other key changes on Kiss FM have seen Mwalimu Rachel and DJ Xclusive take over the Evening Drive show hosting it from 3 pm to 7 pm every Monday to Friday, covering the slot once held by Chito and Cyd Wambui.
On the other hand, Homeboyz Radio picked Jakes Nyanjom to replace Martin at the Drive show ‘Boyz Club’ which he will be hosting alongside Lotan Salapei.
Nyanjom, who is the youngest drive show host in Kenya, used to host a late-night show on Homeboyz Radio, one of the biggest late-night shows that used to run from Midnight (12 am) to 5 am, every Monday to Friday.
At only 18 years old, he is the son of legendary radio host Joyce Gituro and is among the fastest-rising radio personalities in Kenya. He is still a student at Daystar University taking a degree in Mass Communications.
