Radio presenter Sheila Kwamboka aka Kwambox is set to leave Radio Africa Group (RAG) station Kiss 100 FM after one year.

A source privy to happenings confirmed to Viral Tea that Kwamboka is set to walk away from the popular urban radio station where she hosted a breakfast show.

On February 6, 2023, she officially began her stint, taking over from Kamene Goro who left Radio Africa on January 27, 2023 and has been hosting the station's The Morning Kiss show alongside Chito Ndhlovu.

The source revealed that Kwambox is currently serving notice before her departure, with a new presenter set to take over alongside Chito.

Whereas details regarding her exit are still yet to be established, her exit is likely to trigger major changes in the station's lineup, which will cover the breakfast slot termed one of the most critical programs on radio.

Kwambox was unveiled as Radio Africa's latest signing and touted as a great addition to the station's lineup of vibrant presenters who have been enhancing the long-standing popular radio station's image, especially among young listeners.

"Our quest for continuous improvement is tremendous. Sheila Kwamboka better known as Kwambox has joined the Radio Africa group.

“She has quite a reputation for being the home of the best media talent in this country over the past 20 years. I'm hoping that Kwambox as an addition will not only give listeners a chance to enjoy bigger, better, more engaging radio but also give advertisers a chance you know to get products articulated and well connected to consumers," Radio Africa Group Chief Operating Officer, Martin Khafafa stated.

Before joining Radio Africa Group, Kwambox worked as a presenter on Vybez Radio and has also been a host on Homeboyz Radio. Away from radio, she also runs a podcast show alongside Kerry Martin & Joyce Maina.

She started her career as part of the team that launched K24, working alongside notable presenters. However, she later explored different career avenues, showcasing her versatility in the media industry.

News of Kwambox's departure comes a few weeks after Radio Africa announced the recruitment of former NRG Radio presenters Mwalimu Rachel and Joram Ndege alias DJ Xclusive.

The two are set to be unveiled as the latest addition to the media house's celebrity hosts. The source told Viral Tea that they are likely to occupy the drive show slots, though it is yet to be revealed which radio station they would be allocated to.

The company is known for operating the likes of Kiss 100, Classic 105, Radio Jambo, Gukena FM, East FM, Smooth FM and Homeboyz Radio
