Renowned media personality, Willis Raburu, on Thursday, June 6 announced the return of the Wabebe Experience (Wabebe XP) show, but with a twist.

In a statement, Raburu expressed that the show, once it returns, will be stronger and more authentic than ever, marking a new chapter, driven by the powerful lessons learned along the way, being "ownership is key, and in the digital world, authenticity reigns supreme."

The twist, he revealed, would be the show, which he pioneered during his tenure at TV47, would be based in the digital space which has seen a rapid rise due to Kenyans embracing new technology.

"The media landscape has evolved, and so have we. Throughout our journey, legacy media has played a pivotal role in shaping and nurturing me. I am profoundly grateful for the growth and opportunities it has afforded me. The experiences and exposure provided by traditional media have been invaluable, laying a strong foundation for what I have become today.

"However, the time has come for change. The digital revolution calls for a new approach, one that champions independence and collaboration," the statement read in part.

Furthermore, the Wabebe Experience would be stepping into the new era with a vision to build something greater, not just for the proprietors of the show, but alongside our community of creators and supporters.

"We have built visions, and we are determined to bring them to life with integrity and independence," said Raburu, the creator of Wabebe XP

"Legacy media has built me, but now it's time to carve our own path. Authenticity is at the heart of what we do, and we are committed to growing with others who share this ethos."

The return of Wabebe XP was termed as not only a revival but also a rebirth, with the showrunners expressing commitment to authenticity and ownership that will shape the content being produced, ensuring it resonates deeply with its audience.

"The journey is just beginning, and we are excited to explore new frontiers and create experiences that are real, raw, and relatable.

"As we embark on this exciting new phase, we invite everyone to join us. There is much more to come, and we are thrilled to share this journey with you. Together, we will redefine what it means to be a creator in the digital age, fostering a community that values authenticity and embraces the power of independent growth," added the statement.
