Media personality and the host of the 10 over 10 show on Citizen TV, Aziza Hashim, alias Azeezah, has announced her return to the radio scene, close to eight months after she left NRG Radio after a two-year spell.
As she announced on her social media handles on Friday, June 7, Azeezah will from Monday, June 10 host 'The Breakout Show' on Hot 96, a radio station in the same family of media platforms as Citizen TV under the Royal Media Services (RMS).
The mid-morning show will run every Monday to Friday from 10 am to 1 pm.

"We’re back on radio!!! The Queen of mid-mornings...Every Monday to Friday from 10.00 am to 1.00 pm on Hot 96," she announced.
Returning to the radio scene where her media career really kicked off highlights Azeezah's versatility as a 'Media Messiah'. She is also an entrepreneur, MCEE and voice-over artist.
Her radio debut was during NRG's breakfast show in May 2021 where she was allocated a slot as the urban radio station sought to take advantage of the breakfast time slot between 6 am and 10 am which usually draws one of the highest listenership traffic in the country.
"On the 29th of May 2021, my life changed when I made my debut on a breakfast show on one of the biggest radio stations in East and Central Africa, NRG Radio (I still can’t believe my bosses actually trusted a young kid like me on such a big breakfast show - I will always be grateful)
"I woke up every day at 3.00 a.m. without fail and gave it my all I also got to make magic and created an unstoppable mid-morning show hosting the biggest artists from all over Africa hosted some of the biggest events and grew immensely in my craft," she praised in her detailed message on her Instagram post on Saturday, September 9, 2023.
Azeezah however remarked that getting into NRG was no easy feat, as she had to wait for four years before landing her dream job.
On her first attempt, she made it to the top 40 in 2018 but unfortunately missed out on the top 100 a year later, though her persistence saw her navigate the competitive auditions to secure her place in the NRG radio family, persevering through the COVID-19 pandemic period which almost ruined her chances of bagging the lucrative job.
"I got to meet the best bosses who took so many chances on me on air and off air believing in me and constantly pushing me to be the best version of myself, I got to work at the coolest workplace and made great friendships and great memories (I even learnt how to dance lol)
"All in all, if there’s a place that I’ll always love with all my heart, it's got to be NRG," she added.
Other than being a vibrant host of the 10 over 10 show every Friday from 10 pm, Azeezah is also an award-winning personality.
On November 19, 2023, she bagged the Best Radio Personality in East and Southern Africa at the Zikomo Africa Awards in Zambia, a feat she termed as a milestone given that this was her first international award.
