As for Creative Technical Committee, comedian Daniel 'Churchill' Ndambuki will chair the Creatives Technical committee which also consists of Azziad and Wahu as members.

Others include veteran radio and TV personality Jimmi Gathu, Akinyi Odongo, Catherine Kamau, Esther Akoth (Akothee), Kizito Makhande, Awadhi Salim Awadhi, Douglas Kipkirui Langat and Susan Ekasiba. They will all serve a term of three years.

Rally legend Carl Tundo was appointed as the Chairperson of the Organising Committee for the World Rally Championship (WRC) Safari Rally for a period of one year.

The Sports Technical and Creative Technical Committees were set up alongside the Talanta Hela Council, whose members will also serve for a period of three years.

"It is notified for the general information of the public that following the Presidential pronouncement on the 12th December 2022, of Government plans to revitalise Sports and the Creative Economy through the revolutionary Talanta Hela initiative, the Cabinet Secretary, Ministry of Youth Affairs, the Arts and Sports has established Talanta Hela Council and its Technical Committees for Sports and the Creatives, respectively, comprising the following," the gazette notice read in part.

CS Namwamba will chair the council which consists of the following members: the Principal Secretary of State Department of Sports (Jonathan Mueke) as well as the Principal Secretary of State Department of Youth Affairs and the Arts (Ismail Maalim Madey).

Also included are the Principal Secretary, State Department of Basic Education (Belio Kipsang), Kizito Wangalwa as well as the Representative, Council of Governors; David Langat.

Other members include Debra Mallowah, Abraham Kipyego Mutai, Charles Gacheru, Claudia Naisabwa Leshomoo, Nobert Ouma, June Chepkemei and Dennis Itumbi.

With Itumbi as a member of Talanta Hela council, this solves the mystery of having an official government role after he spearheaded President William Ruto's campaigns in the run-up to the general elections.

Speaking in a Citizen TV interview on Thursday, December 29, Itumbi explained that his role required him to be a hands-on person where he would be deployed to certain areas to assist the Head of State in service delivery to Kenyans in line with the Kenya Kwanza promises.

“My job is ‘come here, go there’, a very interesting job. The contract is with the people of Kenya through the President of the Republic of Kenya.

“When the president was campaigning he said that we are asking for government not for positions nor for delivery of staff so it's not about positions it's about what we are doing,” he said.
