CCTV Shows Police With Albert Ojwang's Body During Last Moments
The time stamp on the footage reads 1:59 a.m. on June 8, 2025. Just minutes later, at 2:11 a.m., the same officers are seen wheeling out a man believed to be Ojwang.

A fresh development has surfaced in the murder investigation of influencer and teacher Albert Ojwang, following the release of CCTV footage capturing his final moments at the hands of police officers.
The footage, broadcast during a Citizen TV news segment, begins with a police vehicle arriving at Mbagathi Hospital at 1:35 am on June 8, with three police officers emerging from the driver's section. Two of them stand by and engage in conversation and depart the camera's view slowly, with the third officer following behind.
Meanwhile, the body of Ojwang is left behind at the back of the police car with no one watching over it. The officers are seen outside the hospital at 1:37 a.m., appearing to make phone calls.
By 1:46 a.m., two of them return with a stretcher, which is later used to carry Albert Ojwang. It takes them about 12 minutes to load him onto it, during which they request help from a hospital security guard.

By this point, 24 minutes have passed since the police vehicle first arrived, suggesting there was no urgency in getting Ojwang medical attention.
The officers then remain in the casualty section for another 10 minutes. At 2:11 a.m., they are seen wheeling out Ojwang’s body, likely after being informed by hospital staff that he had passed away. Four minutes later, the police vehicle leaves the hospital with the remains of the late Ojwang.
This footage appears to align with an earlier report from medics at Mbagathi Hospital, who stated that Ojwang was brought in unresponsive around 2 a.m. that same day.
Medical staff documented multiple injuries, including a swollen face and severe bruising on his limbs, pointing to a brutal assault before his death.
This revelation comes shortly after authorities arrested a suspect accused of tampering with CCTV evidence at Nairobi's Central Police Station, where Ojwang was detained before his death. The next point of focus after this is the footage at the police station, which will offer more clues as to the last moments of Ojwang, alive!
The man was reportedly arrested on the morning of Friday, June 13, in what appears to have been a targeted operation at his home in a densely populated Nairobi estate.
Sources familiar with the case revealed that the technician, who was responsible for installing all 25 surveillance cameras at the Central Police Station in 2024, received a call just after 6:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 8, from a police officer at the station. In addition to the cameras, he had also set up the digital video recorder (DVR) used to store all recorded footage.
The technician claims he was instructed to report to the station immediately. Upon arrival, he was taken to the office of a senior officer, where the DVR is kept, and was allegedly asked to delete footage recorded on Thursday, June 6, and Friday, June 7.
This now adds to individuals such as Central Police Station Officer Commanding Station (OCS) Samson Talaam and James Mukhwana, a Police Constable (PC) attached to the Central Police Station, to the list of those arrested, as they are expected to provide more information as to who exactly ordered for the brutal murder of Ojwang, who was picked over 300 km from Nairobi.
