Azeezah Hashim Wins Global Award One Month After Joining Citizen TV

Talented media personality Aziza Hashim, alias Azeezah, won an international award in Zambia on Sunday, November 19, a month after she joined Citizen TV as the permanent host of the 10 over 10 show.
Azeezah was crowned the Best Radio Personality in East and Southern Africa at the Zikomo Africa Awards, a feat she termed as a milestone given that this was her first international award.
"We just bagged our first international award! Best Radio Personality in East and Southern Africa at the Zikomo Africa Awards in Zambia! We definitely deserved this. We are the Messiah Mafia!

"Radio has and will always be my first love! Can’t wait to get back on air," she shared on Instagram, attaching a video of her announcement as an award winner at the Zikomo Awards.
Azeezah defeated nine other nominees to the crown, including Kwambox and King Kalala, who was her colleague at NRG Radio before joining the Royal Media Services (RMS).
Zikomo Awards is an International Award ceremony that acknowledges and celebrates individuals and organisations who are contributing positively and doing well in various industries, such as Art and Entrepreneurs.
It also recognises humanitarianists who are contributing well by helping the needy in communities.
The 'Media Messiah' replaced Willis Raburu, who joined TV47 in August after leaving RMS on Monday, June 26 following a 13-year spell.
Azeezah is not alone as hosting alongside her is Guddah Man alias Mega Hype Man. They hosted their first show officially on Friday, October 6 and will continue hosting every Friday from 10 pm.
Notably, she joins other notable Zikomo Africa award winners from Kenya such as Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC) sports anchor Caren Kibbett who bagged two awards in the 2022 edition.
Kibbett won the Best TV Personality of the Year and Best Journalist of the Year, having been shortlisted for both.
Other award winners in the Zikomo Awards included Citizen TV's Lulu Hassan also bagged the Zikomo Africa Award in the Category of Best Movie/Series Producer of the Year Africa.
