Kenyan singer and entrepreneur Esther Akoth, alias Akothee's new husband, Dennis Schweizer, is a Swiss national with a past we may not get to know about, for now at least.

In October 2022, Akothee's social media post hinted at unleashing details of her new man while announcing at the time that he bagged a new role at her foundation.

Setting the record straight, the only thing the Give It To Me hitmaker had disclosed was that he was an investor and a philanthropist, not going into further details of the matter regarding the man she on Monday, April 10 tied the knot with in an invite-only ceremony at Windsor Hotel in Nairobi.

“I want to put records clear, Omosh has a good heart. He is an investor and a philanthropist apart from him being my husband.

"He is coming in as the Chairman of Akothee Foundation and we are working on his documents so that he can help us in this foundation that has overwhelmed me,” Akothee explained.

While explaining why she would not go into further details regarding her new bae, Akothee noted that Schweizer had a past like everyone else and that there was no need to drag him through dirt at the risk of his reputation.

“We do not want to tarnish Omosh’s image and make him appear like he is lacking humanity. Yes everyone has a past including a baby who has a past in the womb only that they cannot explain it. Should we put everything in the open?” Akothee shared.

“I think there are two or three things my fans should understand. You know I am honest. Should we address the Nation?" Akothee added.

The business lady explained that with the grand project coming up, the couple decided to stay in Kenya a little longer to make sure that all businesses are running, pausing on their plans to do three weeks each in Switzerland and Kenya.

Almost seven months down the line, she is yet to speak on the profile of her new husband, whom Viral Tea understands met the singer through a mutual friend at a business lunch in Switzerland, with Akothee meeting the family of her newfound husband whom she assigned a Luo nickname of Omondi (Omosh in short).

That was in July 2022 while Akothee was vacationing in Switzerland. Three months later, they would get engaged.

Early April, Akothee jetted back to the country from France, where she had gone shopping for her gown ahead of her wedding to her Swiss fiancé. It was here that she clarified the number of times she has been married.

“I have tried getting married three times, but it never worked out. I was only once married once to the father of my children. The other two white exes I was with, never married me.

"At some point, I thought I would get married to the father of my third child, but it turned out to be an extreme sport being with him,” Akothee said.

The event was also a celebration of Akothee's 40th birthday, and she shared on Instagram that her main wish was to get married on her birthday. The white-themed occasion saw guests dressed elegantly in attire with a touch of gold, and they were instructed not to wear white.

Akothee left the Boma hotel, where she had been staying with her bridal team, and arrived at the venue in a convertible car. At the event, she made a grand entrance in a chariot, while her husband arrived on horseback.

The couple looked stunning as they both wore white outfits for the occasion. Akothee looked stunning in her highly publicized Ksh700,000 white gown, while her husband wore a white Achkan, also known as a Sherwani.

The ceremony was attended by politicians, media personalities, and influencers, making it a star-studded affair. Akothee's bridal team included Lang'ata MP Phelix 'Jalang'o' Odiwuor, Milly Wa Jesus and her husband Kabi Wa Jesus and Azziad Nasenya, among others.

Politicians present at the event included Nominated Senator Karen Nyamu, Suba North MP Millie Odhiambo, East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) MP Suleiman Shahbal and Public Service CS Aisha Jumwa. Kisumu First Lady Dorothy Nyong'o, Migori First Lady Agnes Ayacko, and former EACC chairperson Professor PLO Lumumba were also in attendance.

Celebrity couple Diana Marua and Bahati, Terence Creative, Milly Chebby, Citizen TV's Lillian Muli, media personalities Janet Mbugua and Alex Mwakideu, Timothy Kimani alias Njugush, Sandra Dacha, Dr Ofweneke, among many others were also present.

Dr Ofweneke, the emcee of the day kept the guests entertained together with a band that played a harmonious jazz sound while the bride proceeded to the podium.
