"This is it. And no, it's not a book launch like a number of you had asked in my inbox. It is the return of a beautiful show you once enjoyed, albeit under a different name.

"A show that seeks to empower healthy relationships while discussing mental health, parenting, family and demystifying intimacy. Remember to join me every Wednesday for a new episode at 10 pm EAT on my YouTube channel. Keep subscribing guys so you can catch all our exciting episodes!" she wrote.

The show will feature various personalities and experts who will tackle or discuss the subjects of each episode.

“We bring you different personalities and experts to share with you unfiltered conversations that are usually told in hushed tones.

"We strive to demystify sex and relationships. On this show, we wish to empower healthy relationships," she added.

Kanake resigned from TV47 on March 24, 2021, as its show creator, stating that the program was subsequently closed down after failing to agree on certain important issues with the station's management.

"Basically, the show was growing rapidly and the nine months Garden of Eden aired on TV47 was good while it lasted and it's time to cast the net wider," Kanake said.

She was instrumental in the show's popularity with Kenyans aged between 21 and 24 years. 58.06 per cent of them watched the show, according to a study conducted the month before she resigned.

The survey was conducted in a single day, with a possible sample size of over 13,000 respondents and it indicated that most viewers were in the 18-60 years age range, earning between Ksh10,000 and Ksh50,000 per month.

The show grew from a few hundred to more than one million views on social media in January, in particular, among one of their episodes.

During her time presenting the show, she hosted a number of personalities in her show including pastor Man Kush, writer Robertta Bobbie, and publicist Agnes Nonsizi, among others.

Previously, Kanake hosted Connect on K24 TV, also touching on sex and relationships, which was widely known across Kenya.

She thus is not afraid of touching on topics considered taboo or highly sensitive in society and on public platforms, in an effort to create awareness of such.

Other than hosting, the presenter is an experienced features editor and writer, who has worked in both print and broadcast media. Some of her works can be found in the Business Daily, Standard Digital and Uganda's The Daily Monitor.

She has a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) focused on Marketing from Kenya Methodist University.
