I Was Forced To Do Media- Citizen TV's Lillian Muli
Muli revealed that she had a liking for law as she used to admire her father dressed in official legal attire, including the judicial wig.

Citizen TV news anchor Lillian Muli had plans to pursue a legal career just like her father, who however had other plans for her.
Speaking in a recent interview with Cynthia Mwangi on the Behind the Mic show, the bubbly TV journalist revealed that she had a liking for law as she used to admire her father dressed in official legal attire, including the judicial wig.
She took part in school debates so as to set herself up for the profession of 'learned friends', but unbeknownst to her, her father had different plans as he did not envision her in that profession owing to her personality.

"My late dad was an advocate of the High Court and later was in a law firm that he co-owned with his partners and I looked up to this man so much. He was the best-spoken man I had ever met, he was elegant and in those days they used to wear wigs and gowns so I would go to his office and see the wigs and gowns and so I always wanted to do law," Lillian said.
"Here I thought I was going to transition into law, and I was absolutely not. You are not doing law because you are not that type of personality, I don't see you being a lawyer and I asked why."
She however admitted that parents know what is best for their children, and in her case, it was the media. Her father shipped her off to Daystar University where she pursued Electronic Media Communication with a minor in Marketing, which would kickstart her rise to the top.
Despite that being years ago, Muli wondered what kind of lawyer she would have become had she stuck to her dream and gone against her father's wishes.
"It is a good thing, he clearly saw that the potential was in me but I still can't help but wonder what kind of a lawyer I would have made," she added.
Six years later, in December 2020, she resigned from SMG and moved to Royal Media Services' (RMS) Citizen TV as an anchor and reporter, where she has been since.
Some of the outstanding shows she hosted at the station include the Slim Possible Show which encouraged women to shed extra weight and embrace a healthy lifestyle in exchange for coveted prizes.
Other shows she hosted include One on One Show after Friday’s 9 pm news, and Fashion Watch on Saturday after the 9 pm news.
Muli asserts that she is trying to make a living from her job, despite the huge salaries that come with the role which entails presenting the news in front of a camera lens and watched by millions of Kenyans on TV.
