IN PICTURES: Trade CS Rebecca Miano's Son Weds In Lavish Traditional Ceremony

Trade Cabinet Secretary Rebecca Miano's son, Peter Miano, celebrated his traditional wedding with his fiancé, Wambui Kibe on Saturday, April 6 in an event attended by the CS, some of her cabinet colleagues and other political leaders.

The wedding was held in Nairobi, with Peter and Wambui committing to spend eternity with each other.

The Trade CS thanked families and friends who took time off their schedules to join her family to celebrate the joyous occasion.

"Delighted to share this day with my friend and colleague CS Rebecca Miano at her Son’s Ruracio in Nairobi. I wish the couple a lifetime of joy and God’s Blessings!" remarked Labour CS Florence Bore who also attended the event.

Environment CS Soipan Tuya who was also in attendance congratulated the new couple wishing them a long life and happiness in their marriage.

Also in attendance were Public Service CS Moses Kuria, Health CS Susan Nakhumicha, Gender CS Aisha Jumwa and Water CS Zachariah Njeru.

Industry PS Juma Mukhwana, Trade PS Abubakar Hassan Abubakar, and Secretary to the Cabinet Mercy Wanjau were also present.

The bride was adorned in a wine-red outfit, complemented with a hand fan, while the groom wore a brown and white attire reminiscent of traditional Kikuyu attire. The couple were seated at the centre of the venue.

Friends and family were dressed in traditional attire ranging from the Kikuyu traditional outfits to vitenges ranging in different colours which complemented the overall theme.

The tables were decorated in bright red roses as center pieces which did not overshadow the low-hanging flower-based chandelier hanging from the ceiling.

The CSs were all given a chance to speak at the wedding and take photos with Peter and Wambui. In one instance, the couple was handed a traditional Kiondo bag containing goodies gifted to them by CS Bore.

Peter is one of Miano's children. The CS is married and lives with her husband but is reclusive in terms of her private life despite wielding a position of huge public interest.
