Wiper Party Leader, Kalonzo Musyoka on Friday, November 1 penned a moving condolence message in reaction to the demise of content creator and influencer Tabitha Gatwiri on Thursday, October 31, revealing the last discussion he had with her.

In a statement, the former Vice President remembered the late Gatwiri as a vibrant and knowledgeable woman whose drive to make the world a better place was evident. "My heart hurts as I pen this Condolence Message to the family of Tabitha Gatwiri," he mourned.

"I met this incredible soul a few years back. Gatwiri was vibrant and indeed knowledgeable. She was a young woman absolutely determined to change the world for the better with her ideas. Our discussions on the State of the Nation and what her generation could achieve, given the opportunity, were mind-provoking."

Kalonzo revealed details of that last discussion which centred on adding her diversity to his Communications Team, however, sadly, "God Almighty had a different plan for Gatwiri and our path has been irretrievably altered."

"As we come to terms with this defining loss, I know that we all will endeavour, in spirit and purpose, to not only remember this gifted soul, but honour Gatwiri in the new path ahead.

"To Gatwiri's family, and Brian in particular, know that I grieve with and for you. Know that Gatwiri was an incandescent soul; an incredible gift that God graced us with, even for the short time. Our Almighty God has Gatwiri now," Kalonzo consoled the family of the late Gatwiri, sharing a photo of their engagement which would be the last one before her demise

News about her death broke on the morning of October 31. Friends, industry colleagues, and fans took to social media to express their grief and share memories of the beloved comedian, who touched many lives with her humour and light-hearted videos.

Her family and friends said Gatwiri passed on after a short illness. Her body was discovered in her house, with police investigating the cause of the death even though she had complained of illness.

Gatwiri's body was moved to the Kenyatta University Teaching and Referral Hospital mortuary. Some content creators had gone to the mortuary afterwards to view her body. Among those who visited were popular content creators 2Mbili and Mary Tindo.

Content creator 2Mbili took a moment to speak out about the situation. "I don't have anything to say. This one has hit us unexpectedly. I just want to tell everyone to respect the family," he stated, urging others to allow the family to mourn in peace during an interview with Trudy Kitui.

The creators were unable to view Gatwiri’s body as they had hoped. By the time they arrived, Gatwiri’s family had already left the mortuary, and out of respect for the family, the content creators decided not to insist on viewing the body.

Tabitha was a well-known content creator, and she acted at The Real House Helps of Kawangware. The 29-year-old was known for her amusing comedy skits, which she shared on various social media platforms and YouTube.

Her first skit to go viral was the one she was talking about her university boyfriend and his romantic language. “It wasn’t actually about an actual boyfriend but just comedy,” she said in a past interview.

Gatwiri had in the past revealed that she studied education at university was not intending to practice it, as she had no passion for the field.

She was born and raised in Isiolo County. She was the firstborn in a family of five siblings, which included three girls and two boys.
