Kenyans In 3 Regions Warned Of Very Cold Nights For A Week
The weather department announced that nighttime temperatures are expected to dip below 10°C

The Kenya Meteorological Department (Kenya Met) has advised Kenyans living in three regions to brace for very cold conditions at night for the next week from November 12 to November 16.
In its weekly weather update dated Monday, November 11, the weather department announced that nighttime temperatures are expected to dip below 10°C.
"Expect cooler nights, with temperatures dropping below 10°C in parts of the Central Highlands, Central Rift Valley, and South-eastern lowlands," Kenya Met stated.
The central highlands consist of the counties of Nyandarua, Laikipia, Nyeri, Kirinyaga, Murang'a, Kiambu, Meru, Embu, Tharaka, and Nairobi. The South-Eastern lowlands include Kitui, Makueni, Machakos, Kajiado, and Taita Taveta counties.

On the bright side, the weather department urged residents of Siaya, Kisumu, Homabay, Migori, Kisii, Nyamira, Trans Nzoia, Baringo, Uasin Gishu, Elgeyo-Marakwet were cautioned to brace for high daytime temperatures of up to 33°C.
Other counties that were advised to prepare for hot days include Nandi, Nakuru, Narok, Kericho, Bomet, Kakamega, Vihiga, Bungoma, Busia, West Pokot, Marsabit, Mandera, Wajir, Garissa, Isiolo, Mombasa, Tana River, Kilifi, Lamu and Kwale.
Rainfall Outlook
In terms of rainfall, the department disclosed that rainfall is expected to continue in several parts of the country, particularly over the Highlands East region, the West of the Rift Valley, the Lake Victoria Basin, the Rift Valley region, the South-Eastern Lowlands, the Coast and North-Eastern Kenya.
Kenyans living in the Highland East counties of Nyandarua, Laikipia, Nyeri, Kirinyaga, Murang'a, Kiambu, Meru, Embu, Tharaka Nithi and Nairobi were warned to prepare for moderate rains.
According to the meteorological department, rains in the above regions were forecasted to occur in the morning and extend into the afternoon. However, in some counties, rains were projected to extend into the night.
Similarly, Kenyans residing in the counties of Siaya, Kisumu, Homabay, Migori, Kisii, Nyamira, Trans Nzoia, Baringo, Uasin Gishu, Elgeyo-Marakwet, and Nandi were told to prepare for heavy rains for the next five days.
Kenya Met in its announcement, revealed that the above counties would receive heavy downpours which would be accompanied by thunderstorms. Residents were urged to be on the lookout for potential flooding since the rains would last for several hours.
Additionally, residents of Nakuru, Narok, Kericho, Bomet, Kakamega, Vihiga, Bungoma, Busia and West Pokot were also told to prepare for a similar weather pattern.
Occasional rains were also expected in the counties of Marsabit, Mandera, Wajir, Garissa, Isiolo, Kitui, Makueni, Machakos, Kajiado, Mombasa, Kilifi, Lamu and Kwale Counties as well as coastal parts of Tana River County.
Kenya Met noted that in the last forecast period, rainfall was recorded in many parts of the country and daytime temperatures decreased over many regions, with only a few coastal stations recording marginal warming.
