Media personality Chito Ndhlovu was on Sunday, May 21 announced as the replacement of comedian Oga Obinna who left Radio Africa Group (RAG) station, Kiss FM.

Ndhlovu was picked to host Kiss FM's Morning Show alongside Sheila Kwamboka, popularly known as Kwambox.

“New Co-Host Alert! Join us as we welcome Chito Ndhlovu who will be joining Kwambox on our vibrant Morning show. Get ready for an infusion of energy and entertainment starting this Monday from 6 am!” the station announced.

Ndhlovu on his part revealed that the management had reached out to him regarding details of his new role at the station and set expectations for the morning show.

"They called me on one random morning and asked for a meeting where we had a back and forth on the matter. It was about to when I should start and the plans for the show. I would be lying if I said it wasn't a dream of mine to host the breakfast show. So, it's exciting," he indicated.

The media personality further revealed that his chemistry with Kwambox would work well with the show as they had built a working relationship since the latter joined the company. 

"I'm the one who oriented Kwambox at Kiss FM when she first joined. So, we have been talking for a while and wait and see what we have planned for the show," he stated. 

The duo would host the show every weekday from 6.00 am to 10.00 am. Ndhlovu had announced his departure from the Kiss 100 FM drive show, which he hosted alongside Cyd Wambui, amidst rumours that he had called it quits at Lions Place.

"The last two years hosting this show Kiss 100 has been a dream come true. We have shared laughter, tears, pain and lots of joy together. Doing this with Cyd Wambui has been one of the greatest pleasures of my life.

"As I move to something new, I am reminded that he who has begun a good work in you and is able to see it to fruition. Never forget, silence is golden, speech is silver and I am The Golden Voice, " he stated on May 15, 2023. 

Ndhlovu, a versatile media personality, has built an impressive career in the media industry since he began his journey back in 2013. His passion for broadcasting led him to One FM, where he hosted the drive show from 2013 to 2014.

In 2014, he moved to Nation Media Group's radio wing, continuing his role as a drive show host. His ability to connect with listeners and deliver captivating content earned him recognition and a growing fan base.

He later transitioned from the Kimathi Street Media House to Urban Radio, where he continued to excel as a drive show host until 2017.

In 2017, Ndhlovu embarked on a new chapter in his career by joining Radio Africa Group's Kiss FM. Initially, he hosted the evening show known as 'Maloko', captivating audiences with his engaging style and captivating presence.

In 2021, he was moved to Kiss FM's drive show which he hosted before his latest move. Beyond his radio work, Ndhlovu is a TV presenter and a skilled voice-over artist across projects as well as a corporate and events Master of Ceremonies.

Obinna on his part revealed on Tuesday, April 25 that his contract with the radio company came to an end and both parties opted to end their relationship amicably.

“I’m no longer at Kiss FM. I have finished my contract. The experience has been beautiful and I have achieved my dream and did everything I wanted to do. And everything I do from now henceforth will be extra.

"If it’s a job or a car, I will be extra. I have driven that car I wanted to drive (apart from Range Rover Sport), lived in the houses I wanted, and worked in an organization I always wanted. I have achieved what I wanted to do and now we move,” Obinna said.

Obinna joined the station in March 2022 replacing Lang'ata member of Parliament Phelix Odiwuor alias Jalang’o who resigned to campaign for the seat under the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) and clinched it during the August 9, 2022, general elections.

His exit comes three months after his former co-host, Kamene Goro, left the station after three years following the lapse of her contract.
