Video Of Cop Shooting At Car After Ramming Vehicle Goes Viral
The incident also drew the attention of the National Police Service (NPS) who confirmed that the incident involved the motorist who turned out to be a known lawyer.

A video surfaced on Wednesday, August 17 showing a police officer and a motorist in a heated altercation in the Kisumu Central Business District (CBD) has emerged.
The video seen by Viral Tea showed the motorist in a Toyota RAV4 rear-ending the officer's vehicle, a Toyota Landcruiser and putting extra power that pushed the vehicle forward for a few metres.
This enraged a plain clothes officer who emerged from the boot of the car and fired gunshots at the vehicle's tyres to deflate them.
The motorist, panicked, reversed his car in swift succession before driving off. Meanwhile, the officer was still firing at the vehicle in an attempt to immobilize it.

The incident also drew the attention of the National Police Service (NPS) who confirmed that the incident involved the motorist who turned out to be a known lawyer.
"The National Police Service has taken note of a video circulating on social media involving a motorist in a saloon car deliberately and repeatedly rear-ending a white Landcruiser vehicle at a roundabout. NPS confirms that the incident occurred in Kisumu this afternoon where a renowned advocate severally rear-ended the police Landcruiser on patrol duties within the city.
"This unfortunate action, which was conceived to be an act of terror led to a swift reaction by the police who promptly demobilized the vehicle by deflating its tyres. The motorist was arrested but found to be psychologically unwell and taken to hospital by police for further treatment," stated the NPS in part.
It was unclear what caused the altercation that came after police enjoyed an election period uninterrupted with cases of police brutality, save for a few.
The Independent Policing and Oversight Authority (IPOA) commenced investigations on cases of misconduct amongst police officers deployed across the country for security during the August 9 general elections.
In a statement by the chairperson, Anne Makori on Saturday, August 13, IPOA revealed that despite the generally commendable conduct of the officers during the period, it took note of three isolated cases.
Among the cases include an incident whereby two men were shot and a woman assaulted allegedly by the police in Eldas in Wajir County. All sustained non-fatal injuries.
It also flagged an incident whereby an officer attached to the Matisi Police Station in Bungoma County attempted to rape a citizen on Wednesday, August 10, 2022.
The agency is also investigating a third incident where a police officer in Uasin Gishu County allegedly shot and injured a political aspirant’s bodyguard on the eve of voting day, Monday, August 8, 2022.
