Three suspects linked to the shooting of a businessman in Eastleigh, Nairobi who was robbed of Ksh4.1 million as captured on CCTV footage that went viral on Saturday, March 30 have been found dead.

NTV reported that the bodies of the two suspects as well as a woman alleged to be a partner were found in different areas in Nairobi and Kiambu Counties and taken to the City Mortuary.

On Monday, the main suspect was buried at the Kariokor cemetery in adherence to the Islamic culture that requires the deceased to be buried within 24 hours after their death.

Notably on April 4, police tracked and arrested one of the suspects in Mombasa as he was in the process of purchasing a vehicle with money suspected to be from the robbery.

The remaining two bodies still lie at the City Mortuary at the time of publishing this article. The puzzle yet to be established is how their bodies were discovered in Nairobi and Kiambu counties despite having been apprehended at the Coast.

The CCTV footage showed the businessman, Adan Ali Mohamed, and his bodaboda rider accosted by two armed assailants on a motorbike, with one of them alighting at Muratina Street in Eastleigh and opening fire on the businessman.

The robber immediately grabbed the money and fled the scene, leaving Adan wounded.

Pedestrians rushed the businessman to hospital after the incident. A medical practitioner at the hospital where Adan was admitted revealed that the injury was serious and required specialized attention.

When he arrived at the hospital, he could not feel his legs calling for a Computed tomography (CT) Scan and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI).

Speaking to the media, Adan's family revealed that he was helping them to run their venture and on that day, he was on his way to banking the millions which covered two days' sales of cooking oil.

A relative of the businessman revealed that Adan was on his way to a bank located in the newly-opened Business Bay Square (BBS) Mall where he intended to deposit the money, but found that it was closed.

"He was told to take a motorbike and within a half-kilometer, he was accosted by thieves whose origins were unknown. He was shot and robbed of the money," the relative told the press.
