Residents of the Kwa Ndomo area in Magarini, Kilifi County were shocked to find the lifeless body of the middle-aged woman known by the name Malkia at around 6 in the morning.

Malkia, a seller of local brew Mnazi, has been living with her lover since October last year.

The area assistant chief confirmed the incident and notified the police. According to reports, Malkia was a mother of three and was well-known in the area.

Residents called upon couples to solve their differences amicably to avoid loss of life.

The murders come a week after popular Instagram personality and businesswoman Starlet Wahu was found murdered in an Airbnb apartment in South B, Nairobi.

John Matara, the main suspect in the murder, had revealed to detectives that he did not kill Wahu as alleged and that he only stabbed her in the thigh and not the chest or head as was reported. Her body was found at the Airbnb soaked in blood and had multiple bruises and stab wounds all around the thighs.

According to previously released postmortem results, Wahu died as a result of haemorrhage, which is the loss of blood from a damaged blood vessel.

The murder had prompted a series of women to come out and confess how Matara sexually assaulted and robbed his victims of their money from their mobile and bank accounts.
