Controversial content creator, Brian Chira Wambui drew Kenyan socialite Vera Sidika's attention after he opened up on his aspirations to follow in her footsteps in the gossip and entertainment scene.

Chira in an interview declared the mother of two as his role model and expressed his aspiration to be the male equivalent of her, commending her for ignoring critics and focusing on her goals of being a famous celebrity cum reality TV star with experiences marketing for different companies.

"You will keep talking, but she keeps on making moves. Today, I have seen her being posted everywhere. Where is she now? Beverly Hills! We, on the other hand, are here in Ruaka. Where is she? Beverly Hills! Thank you!

"I wanna (want to) be like Vera Sidika. I wanna be the male version of Vera. It's true, Vera is in Beverly and we are stuck here doing what? Tuko mboka (we're in the trenches)," he jested.

Sidika on her part shared a video of the interview on her Instagram page, commending him for being honest with his admiration.

"I like him; he knows exactly what he's doing. Do you, boo!" Sidika captioned the video.

Brian Chira initially gained public attention after appearing on television as a seemingly inebriated witness to an accident during his school days. His unconventional presence and antics quickly thrust him into the spotlight, although not always for the right reasons.

“When I was trending I started doing that to show them that this is the guy you saw on TV,” he stated.

On September 24, 2023, Chira once again made headlines during a live broadcast on Instagram where he shocked viewers by undressing and engaging in inappropriate behaviour on camera.

This act elicited outrage from many, with some calling for punitive measures against his Instagram account, with the incident igniting debate on social media and raising questions regarding the boundaries and responsibilities of content creators on such platforms.

On Monday, July 31, Chira was charged with using his TikTok account to defame TikTok star, radio host and influencer, Azziad Nasenya, after information regarding his arrest surfaced on Wednesday, July 26 at around 8.30 pm when Eve Mungai posted a video showing Chira being led into a police station with his hands cuffed.

According to Azziad’s lawyer, Gertrude Kibare from Johnson & Partners Advocates, Chira's arrest was prompted by a live video on TikTok whereby he uttered words deemed to be derogatory to the Soundcity Radio host.

The lawyer further revealed that Chira took a step further and leaked her personal phone number to his followers during the live session.

The consequences of disclosing Azziad's private details meant that she received a bombardment of calls and messages, some of whom from individuals who were outright insulting her, causing her unhappiness and torment.
