Kenyan socialite, Vera Sidika, chose a rather unconventional way to respond to fiance Brown Mauzo's announcement on Wednesday, August 30 that the couple had split.

The mother of two was captured on board an Emirates flight to Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE) from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) in Nairobi as she became a trend on social media hours after Mauzo's statement.

Sidika was seated in the Business class section of the airline, which on this flight usually sets one back about Ksh327,230, according to spot checks, enjoying the world-famous airline's finest cuisine alongside a glass of champagne, donning earphones and a pair of sunglasses presumably to avoid disturbance and being recognised by any prying eyes.

"Catch flights, not feelings. Guess my next stop," Sidika teased her fans who opined that her sudden vacation was a way of healing from the romantic split.

Mauzo earlier rattled the Kenyan entertainment and showbiz scene by taking to Instagram to share a series of statements that confirmed the unexpected, thanking his fans for supporting the couple throughout the relationship.

The Coast-based singer, who has two adorable children with the socialite, added that the two would focus on healing and looking towards the future.

"Dear friends and supporters, I wanted to take a moment to share some personal news. After much consideration, Vera Sidika and I have decided to part ways," he stated.

"Our journey together has been filled with unforgettable moments, but we have reached a point where it's best for both of us and our babies, Asia Brown and Ice Brown, to move forward separately."

Mauzo expressed his gratitude to his fans and those of Sidika for their unwavering love and support throughout their relationship, adding that their encouragement has meant the world to them. 

"As we embark on this new chapter, we kindly ask for your understanding and respect for our privacy during this time," he added.

The Natamani hitmaker assured that he would always cherish the memories he and Sidika created together, adding that the couple was grateful for the lessons learned and the growth experienced over the course of the relationship.

"Our focus now is on healing and embracing the future with open hearts. Thank you for being a part of our journey," he concluded.

Viral Tea was unable to independently verify if their break up was real or merely a clout-chasing stunt teasing a possible track release.

It is worth it to note that Mauzo moved in with Vera Sidika after meeting in Mombasa in August 2020 and the couple were blessed with two children, Asia and Ice Brown. 

In July, the parents of two took to their respective Insta stories and penned down similar messages seemingly aimed at each other, igniting breakup rumours after headlining celebrity relationships for years.

In April, the socialite known for pulling extraordinary clout-chasing stunts removed the title 'wife' from her Instagram bio, unfollowed Mauzo and removed his photos from her page safe for one. In response, the husband also unfollowed her deleting photos of her and only following his two daughters.

Despite the on-air rumours, Sidika cleared the air by affirming that their relationship was intact and that they were legally married.

In May, the mother of two dropped more hints that she and the musician may have parted ways noting that she would never use her relationship to chase clout as it is outdated and overused.

“Break-up clouts are lame, overused and retired. I have never done a break-up clout in over 5 years. I always have unique ideas if I want to chase clout and y’all know it, not this.

"Please just stop forcing it. Not everything in life revolves around clout. I can never do a breakup clout, anything else but that. Whatever happens, happens in real life,” she stated.
