Lawyer and activist Morara Kebaso on Monday, September 23 promised to enhance his security following an accident that he got involved in while he was travelling back to Nairobi from a civic engagement with Embu residents.

Taking to his social media, the activist revealed that he had to flee the scene of the crash using another vehicle owing to safety concerns, noting that they are used to create confusion as cover for sinister motives.

"Yesterday after the accident I disappeared very fast from the scene in another car because sometimes accidents are used to cause confusion so that the real thing can happen. I don't want to blame anyone without evidence but now I know I am on a clock," he revealed in part.

Morara further claimed that he was being watched by too many enemies to even guess who could orchestrate a road accident of that calibre, listing potential threats such as "government officials that we have exposed, the opposition that feels we are taking their space, rising tribal chiefs that feel like our message might dilute their influence, presidential candidates who think I will run against them, contractors who have been paid money and disappeared, sympathetics of the corrupt."

In response, he vowed to heighten security around him and avoid meetings that run into the night hours.

"I am grateful to be alive. And I believe it's for a reason but also for a season because one day I will still die," he expressed.

Morara was involved in an accident on Sunday evening between 7:00 pm and 8:00 pm but luckily, no one sustained injuries. According to him, he was hit by a drunk driver while returning from Meru and Tharaka Nithi counties, where he was conducting his countrywide civic education campaign.

In an earlier post, he shared pictures of a man who was spotted at his civic engagement tour as well as at the accident scene after the collision.

Kebaso connected the dots with the fabric of his shirt and revealed that the unidentified individual had run away after the crash.

However, after the accident, the man was reported to have fled the scene without checking on what might have caused the accident.

‘’Is this the same person? To me, shirts look different but I also know that photos taken under different lighting usually alter colors. So I am confused now,’’ Morara shared after the accident.

‘’Guys, I need help finding this guy. In the confusion, he slipped away and left his wrecked car,’’ Morara added.

The activist appealed to the individual involved in the accident to come forward so that they could solve the situation.
