Cardovillis on June 8, 2023, announced a comeback to the popular urban radio station, Capital FM, announcing his return to the station after 18 years and would keep its audience up to date in terms of sports news from Mondays to Fridays.

"I'm back! After 18 years, it's great to return to Capital FM Kenya.

"I'll be presenting the sports updates from Mondays to Fridays, and also presenting Saturday Music & Sports as we rebrand sports at the station. I start on Monday at Kenya's number-one radio station," he wrote.

Cardovillis began his media career at Capital FM in 1997 as a sports presenter and rose in the ranks to sports editor before he left after eight years.

In 2006, he moved to Seychelles, where he presented news at Paradise FM where he became a big name on the island.

He was a sports presenter at NTV, where he had a six-year stint before leaving Nation Media Group in 2020. In 2014, he was appointed the Head of Radio at Nation FM.

Cardovillis ran a sports blog and has been dubbed as the 'Voice of Sport' in the country. A veteran in the industry, he has a soft spot for the World Safari Championships, which he has covered extensively during his career.

On February 17, 2022, Cardovillis appealed to the public for financial help with his medical bill following his admission at a city hospital.

This is after his appeal through a social media poster where he stated that he was hospitalized for a while after experiencing chest pains, which turned out to be pneumonia, went viral.

The social media post had revealed that his lungs collapsed and that he also had an infection around his heart.

This led to many media personalities, including Capital FM Founder Lynda Holt to rally friends and well-wishers to come out and support Sean.

Cardovillis' last major assignment was as the official emcee for the 2023 World Rally Championship (WRC) Safari Rally where he hosted shows and events surrounding the toughest rally in the WRC circuit and interviewed personalities, among them President William Ruto.
