"A motorcycle from the opposite side on the wrong side (consolidated bank) collided head-on and as a result, the pillion passenger namely Fredrick Odhiambo Omondi died on the spot," the report read in part.

The late Fred's older brother, Eric Omondi, took to social media to mourn the loss of his own as soon as reports emerged on Saturday morning regarding his demise.

Omondi wrote "Go well brother", accompanying this with a broken heart and white dove emojis, captioning a video on Instagram in which they did a music video together.

The song Eric Omondi shared on his page was dubbed Kasuku and talked about bad leadership that has thrown Kenyans into despair and suffering.

The duo could be seen dancing alongside each other in a desert and while clad in white apparel.

The comedian was a popular event emcee after leaving Churchill Show. In a past interview, Fred revealed that his older brother Eric motivated him to get into comedy.

Meanwhile, the deceased's family also received numerous condolences from well-known figures in the Kenyan entertainment industry.

David Mathenge, better known by his stage name Nameless, Eunice Wanjiru Njoki, known as Mammito, and Daniel "Churchill" Ndambuki are among the artists who have sent their condolences to Eric and his family.

Lang'ata Member of Parliament Phelix Odiwuor, also known as Jalango, also mourned Fred's passing, referring to him as his "Microphone WingMan".

Fred's sudden death has left a huge void in the hearts of those who knew and admired him. This is given that he had a budding career in comedy and was known for his lively personality and humorous performances.
