Beauty entrepreneur and Marini Naturals Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Michelle Ntalami travelled to Seychelles on Wednesday, April 3, having been chosen by the United Nations (UN) for a major assignment.

She took to her Instagram to reveal that she was selected by the United Nations Economic Commission For Africa (UNECA) to represent Africa in the 2024 Entrepreneurial Conference.

Ntalami attributed this to her Marini Naturals brand which she has grown into a real force in the haircare and beauty industry since its inception in 2015.

"I may have been quiet, but my blessings haven’t. Let me share this one with y’all. I am absolutely humbled to be selected by the United Nations - UNECA as a top Business Delegate to represent Africa in the Seychelles 2024 Entrepreneurial Conference," she announced

"This is courtesy of my work with Marini Naturals, working with local and continental farmers across Africa, upholding quality & sustainable practices in our products, and steadily growing it into the brand that it is today."

Ntalami is currently in Seychelles with several other leading business delegates from Africa, namely Uganda, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Mauritius, Rwanda and several of the island country's entrepreneurs.

The conference aims to create change-makers, policy-makers, innovators and entrepreneurs in the Blue Economy Market.

Organised by Seychelles' Department of Blue Economy, the conference features ocean-based businesses, such as mineral salts, coconut oils and kinds of butter as well as reef-friendly products among others.

"Needless to say, this is quite the milestone! So grateful to UNECA, Honita, Nina, Clinton and the Seychelles team for selecting me for this opportunity.

"The all-new Michelle Ntalami is coming. And this is just a snippet of who she is becoming now. Are you ready for her?" she posed.

Over the years, the social media personality has won plaudits and admiration in equal measure for her energetic spirit and smart dealings in a competitive business environment, making her a woman of interest outside Kenya for her unequalled influence and focus in the business world.

She launched her Marini Naturals brand officially on November 19, 2015, based on the decision she made that changed her life forever.

The company specializes in the manufacturing of hair products, and the Swahili name Marini translates to naturally beautiful.

The hair company, based in Nairobi, sells over 50,000 bottles and tubs monthly across 12 countries, 10 in Africa as well as Turkey and France. It also caters for men with body, hair and beard care products.

Michelle was chosen and featured by Okay Africa in the list of top 100 women in Africa in 2018 as well as Top 40 Under 40.

She has also earned several credits from leading institutions and brands such as Blaze under a local telecommunications company and CNN Africa.
