Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu on Monday, January 16 released the results of the Form One placement as well as the schools that received the highest number of applications.

Speaking outside Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD), Machogu highlighted the likes of Pangani Girls, Nanyuki High School, Alliance Girls High School, Kapsabet Boys among others.

"During the selection process, it became clear that a large number of candidates did not receive proper guidance when choosing a school. These resulted in some schools getting far many applicants against their capacity. No one will be able to go beyond the capacity," he stated.

He further noted that the schools that received the highest applications do not possess the capacity to handle them, thus candidates risked missing out on their dream schools.

"There are schools where we get so many applicants yet the capacity is few hence it is not possible for all candidates to be placed in their dream schools," he added.
