Marini Naturals Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Michelle Ntalami has disclosed that she would date a younger man but under one condition.

Speaking during an Instagram Q&A session on Wednesday, December 14, Ntalami clarified that she does not belong to the category of cougar or sugar mummy, which are informal terms referring to an older woman seeking a sexual relationship with a younger man.

Giving an example of 42-year-old South Africa-based Ugandan socialite Zari Hassan and her boyfriend Shakib Cham Lutaaya who is 12 years younger than her, the 38-year-old revealed that the only instance that she would be seen with a younger person is if it is a serious relationship.

“Guys, this made me crack up. As in? And then the “mommy” complete with heart eyes at the end! Anyway! I am not a sugar mommy and I’ll never be a cougar even if I date someone younger than me.

"So if you ever see me with a younger person, trust me it's real and I’m really feeling them. Like Zari and her boo. None of that ‘just satisfy me and I pay/keep you kinda thing,” she said when asked if she would do “pure gentlemen yet untouched mommy.”

In a recent interview with Galaxy FM, Zari refuted claims that Shakib was a child as critics had viewed him.

"You can't tell me 42 and 30… Shakib is not a child. He is 30. For me honestly speaking he is not a child. He's been above 18 a long time ago," Zari said.

With changing times, relationships have evolved and people have started becoming more accepting and open when it comes to their outlook. But when it comes to older women dating younger men, people's prejudice continues to see no bounds, even in the 21st century.

Simply put, a man dating a woman older than her is more frowned upon than it is in vice versa. Viral Tea offers solutions for women intent on dating younger men:

Don't be conscious and date without fear

First and foremost, a woman needs to accept herself in the relationship. Try to free yourself of any negative thoughts and prejudice, then only can you expect others to be accepting of the relationship.

Do not think of age being a barrier. As an older woman, you have a wealth of experience that any man worthy of your attention will be glad to share.

Be his lover, not his 'mother'

Being an older woman, you definitely will have much more experience and probably success too.

While mentoring is okay to an extent in any relationship, irrespective of gender, don't be a mother to the man. Remember you are his lover and not the parent.

Don't be oversensitive about scrutiny

In an ideal world, you would not have had to face any questions about dating an older woman but unfortunately, we don't live in an ideal world. So be prepared to face a certain amount of scrutiny.

Be confident in yourself and your partner and don't be oversensitive to criticism if it comes your way. Baseless critiques, in any case, should be ignored.

Describing her type of man, Ntalami answered "And yes I do. Really high standards but I do." She previously explained that she would be more than willing to date a man as she loves the energy that comes with masculinity.

She was also asked about her orientation, to which she responded by saying she is strictly attracted to men and masculine energy.

Androsexual refers to a person who, regardless of their gender identity, is sexually or romantically attracted to masculinity.
