According to Mulamwah, the vehicle in front had stopped suddenly at Ngata Bridge just before Nakuru on Saturday afternoon, December 30, following emergency braking, before the accident occurred.

At the time of the crash, he was travelling alongside his friend, with both of them escaping with minor injuries.

"My friend and I got out safely with little scratches. no one was hurt in all vehicles involved. Glory to God we live to see another day," he wrote.

"Always enjoy moments while you still can, it's like tomorrow’s is never promised. Asante sana (thank you very much) to the residents and Kaptembwa police staff who really helped us all at the scene. Baraka tele (many blessings)."

Mulamwah is the second celebrity in less than a week to be involved in a road accident and survive. On the night of Christmas Day, YouTube sensation Eve Mungai and her long-time boyfriend Director Trevor survived a road accident.

In videos shared by Trevor, the lovebirds were driving along an unidentified major highway when their vehicle veered off the road and plunged into a culvert after a mishap on a section of road that appears to have been recently repaired.

Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, December 26, 2023, Eve while sharing a cryptic message confirmed they are well, stating "There's a certain disrespect that an apology or explanation just can't fix. Thanks for checking on me guys, I'm doing okay."

The couple resurfaced with a sleek Audi car which boasts of some of the best features in terms of technology and safety within its range. Their previous car, a Toyota Crown, was damaged beyond repair following the accident.

Citizen TV journalists Martin Munene and Ephantus Macharia were on Friday, December 29 praised for their heroic acts after they rescued passengers trapped following a road accident along the Nyeri-Nyahururu Highway which claimed the lives of seven people.

On Monday, December 18, Transport Cabinet Secretary (CS) Kipchumba Murkomen confirmed that 3,999 people died in road accidents between January and December 7, 2023, a reduction number from the 4,352 recorded within the same period in 2022.

Inspector General of Police Japhet Koome had issued a traffic advisory and cautioned Kenyans of expected high vehicular traffic, calling on all road users to exercise caution noting that road safety is our collective responsibility as Kenyans.

The police boss noted that increased cases of road crashes have been caused by preventable human factors including noncompliance with traffic regulations and rules such as operating defective vehicles, failure to use safety belts by commuters, speeding driver fatigue, driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs and dangerous overtaking.
