Controversial social media influencer and media personality, Andrew Kibe put YouTuber Eve Mungai under immense pressure in her first interview since venturing solo, amidst the trending conversation surrounding her breakup with Director Trevor.

Mungai, in a video which was uploaded on Saturday, March 2, was preparing to wrap up the hour-long interview when Kibe cut her short, demanding her to give her side of the story regarding the romantic separation with Trevor.

However, the online media personality played cagey as Kibe ramped up the intensity of the questions he posed towards her, including regarding Trevor's claim that the two had stopped seeing each other in March 2023.

Kibe: Is it true that you stopped seeing each other last year? Why?

Mungai: (hums in agreement)...I don't know, I believe he's in the best position to answer that

Kibe:...so that's the character you've brought in here today...

Mungai:...no, I have answered your question...

Kibe: I'm asking you about something that is directly related to you 

Mungai:...but he's the one who said that...

Kibe: Why would he say that you guys stopped seeing each other in March?

Mungai Denies Timeline Of Director Trevor Breakup

Mungai continued giving brief responses in a bid to avoid spilling the beans on what culminated in her total breakup with Trevor, clarifying that they did not break up in March 2023 contrary to Trevor's claims.

Kibe sought to know from Mungai why Trevor gave March as the timeline of their breakup, which was contrary to Mungai's clarification.

“So why did he say so?” Kibe queried.

“I don’t know, I believe he is in the best position to explain it since he is the one who said it. He has his own reasons," Mungai again chose to play cagey.

The former Kiss FM presenter then challenged Mungai to reveal what actually caused their breakup, to which Mungai declined to give conclusive details.

Cause Of Breakup & Trending

“Mlikosana kwa nini? (Why did you quarrel with each other?)” Kibe asked.

“Well I wouldn’t want to talk much about it but it is a whole lot of so many things and it was meant to come to an end,” Mungai answered.

On how she felt when she was trending on social media platforms in the wake of their split and Trevor’s statement in which he mentioned that Mungai's services would not be required, the diva explained that she was ready for it in advance, having known of the aftermath that would follow their split.

“I was ready for it, I knew it was to happen.” I don’t know but maybe he did (announcing that her services would not be required in a terse statement) it to make him feel better, I don’t know” Mungai added.

Cheating Claims

Kibe then compelled Mungai to respond to rumours that the couple may have cheated on each other before the end of their relationship.

“Who was cheating was it you or him…I suspect you must be the one who was cheating,” Kibe asked.

“You might be wrong or right," she responded without delving into the details and clarifying whether cheating may have contributed to the relationship’s end.

Mungai and Trevor easily mixed business and pleasure, with the latter contributing to the former's success on YouTube through their joint channel which rose to prominence during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.

Other than being relationship goals, the two made millions from their unified channel, that is Ksh800,000 salary each in YouTube earnings through advertisements instream as well as Facebook, lucrative earnings she lost when they cut ties with each other totally after nearly five years.

In the aftermath of the breakup announcement, Director Trevor seized the YouTube channel that they operated together and announced that Mungai's services would no longer be required.

In response, Mungai started her solo YouTube channel which has more than 50,000 subscribers at the time of publishing this article.
